Three letter words better watch out for the amazing READING powers of our 5 1/2 year old! After hearing that his cousin was starting to read, Luke decided to put a little more effort into his reading. (Can you say competitive??? We have no idea where he gets that from.) Sure enough, he can do it, he can READ, and he's great at it. It finally clicked and he read 3 books to us tonight. There I was, beaming with pride as Luke read the entire 12 pages of "The Sad Cat." He's so proud of himself, too.
This is the beginning of a lot of fun for him. Unfortunately, it's also the end of Aaron and I spelling things back and forth to each other that we don't want the kids to know. There you have it...the gap between Luke's intelligence and our's is closing fast. Pretty soon he'll be doing fractions and he'll leave us in the dust! Way to go, buddy!

This is so funny...Reiley is oblivious to the competition , she just loves the pretty stickers she gets to put in the front of the book when she finishes reading it! Keep going Lukie - reading is awesome!
I love that our boys are learning to read! And they love it too!
