So, here's the story...Aaron was gone in Iowa for two weeks and we were hitting that point where it was questionable if the kids and I were all going to survive. I was cooking dinner and I heard the boys bickering over the pretend food in the playroom. Almost instantly Luke started to scream and ran into the kitchen with blood trickling down his face. Apparently, Peter got frustrated and threw a (wooden) piece of pretend chocolate cake with a cherry on top at Luke, which promptly split his forehead a little (no stitches required). The incident was dealt with, but Luke created this masterpiece that night to show daddy on Skype. The brown thing at the bottom is the cake w/ the cherry. Well drawn Luke! I'm glad we have this memory preserved....or maybe not!
