I don't think I've blogged about it before, but for the past 7 years I have been a part of an incredible moms' group called MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). Weird name (if you ask me), but an INCREDIBLE group! For the past 2 years I have been the coordinator for our group. It's a big job, actually I knew it was too big when I accepted it, so I did the smart thing...recruit some of my best friends to help me. This year we had about 110 moms in our group, and 33 of those women were in leadership.
Just 2 weeks ago we had our last meeting of the year and also celebrated with a fun party for our leadership team that evening. We may or may not have kicked off the party with a few margaritas...what? Don't judge, it's been a lot of work! So, after 7 years in MOPS, 6 years on leadership, and 2 years as the coordinator...I'm done!
MOPS has been a blessing to me...I've gained amazing ideas, priceless advice and had excellent discussions. I had a ton of fun. Laughed and cried. But the most prized thing that I walk away with, is the amazing friends that I have made. So, thank you ladies for being wonderful friends, for carrying a huge leadership role, and for the great ride!

Jenny, I just signed up for a new MOPS class at the local Presby church (actually, Jackson's new church)! I'm excited to start in the fall. It'll be my first time putting Oliver into Mopettes so I'm a little nervous, but hopefully he'll do well. I'm in awe of how well you balance everything with your family and church leadership, job, etc! Awesome!
Sounds like my experience with MOPS when we were in TX. Such a blessing and a TON of work. :)
