Here's what I've been up to:
I needed a Fall wreath for my new door. So, I made this one. It's awesome, huh?

I think that the best part of this wreath, is that I finished it in about 35 minutes. I made it while I was chatting on the phone with my sister....which should also tell you that it's very easy to make.
I found the directions for how to make it here. The only thing that I did differently, was that I had to cover my whole wreath (front and back) because it's hanging on a window.
But wait, there's more! My craftiness didn't end there. I've been having so much fun decorating Natalie's room. It's just so girly and fun! There's still a lot to do...curtains, storage, pictures....but here are few projects I have completed.
I was at Ikea and bought 4 spice racks to hang in my pantry. Unfortunately, my estimates were way off, and guess what...they didn't fit. There was no way I was driving all the way back to Ikea to return $4 spice racks, so, I just spray painted 2 of them white and hung them next to Natalie's bed to hold her books. I thought this was pretty smart...then about a week later I saw the same idea on Pinterest. Guess I'm not as original as I thought. Ha! I think I'll paint the other two blue, and put them next to the boys' beds.
Speaking of Pinterest...have you seen it? It's amazing. You can click here, or click the "P" logo on the side of my page to see what I'm talking about. I used to bookmark every great idea, design idea, recipe, etc that I wanted to remember. That got confusing. Then I found Pinterest and now I can just "pin" my ideas from any website I see them on.
Anyway, moving on. Here's my next project.
I recently added Natalie's name above her mirror.
I got the bird house-string/clip-thing from Target on clearance for $5. So, then I got the idea to use die-cut letters and circles to put Natalie's name over her mirror. I went to the scrap book store (which terrified me) and I convinced the gal to cut some circles and letters for me. She thought the project would be even cuter if I added a little fan flower behind each letter. Now listen carefully...let this be a lesson to us all...if the lady that owns a scrap book store tells you something is easy...she's LYING. I watched about a million different youtube videos, showing all sorts of ways to make these things. In the end, there was a lot of folding, a lot of glue, a few bad words, and they look pretty cute. But still, don't trust the scrap book lady....ever.
The pictures aren't very good, but you get the idea!

Look at those "simple" little fan flowers. |
Here's my final project.
I took 2 old picture frames, spray painted them white (I like the high gloss white), removed the glass, and added cute paper as the background. I had 2 extra bird clips (you could use any type of clip), so I attached them. So now I have an easy way to change out pictures in Natty's room, or show off some of her art work. I want to do some more (gender neutral) of these for the playroom.
Okay, I'm kind of tired from all this craftiness! What projects have you been working on?

whoa. who ARE you and what have you done with my friend?
Jenny, you are SO CRAFTY! How do you have energy to do all this stuff? I'm so impressed!
I have a couple yards of dark brown burlap upstairs so I'm totally going to make that wreath this week. I love it!
I've mostly been making fall crafts...This gourd garland for the mantle has been my fave so far (although Tony was really nervous about me using his drill): http://asoftplace.net/2011/09/martha-stewart-hack/

The wreath turned out great and I love Nats book shelves and picture holders....very cute!
Very cute!! Love the wreath!
I also love how you were thinking outside the box to turn the spice rack into a book rack!!
Beautiful Jenny!
Oh dear, you have been a bit busy :) Your projects are simply lovely!
Regarding Nattie's room?...
Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!!! Too cute. The frames are GENIUS!!!
I LOVE the frames fro Natalie's artwork. Totally stealing that when Jack is a lil older.
